Friends of my parents had an extra ticket to the Musical Theatre. Since it was only one, I was more than happy to go with them. And I didn't have to pay for it. Lucky me ^_^
And the show was one of my all time favourite. I've already seen it on stage once long time ago and I've also seen the movie countless times but still had to go and see one more time.
And the show I love so much was "Fiddler on the Roof". The story of Tevye the Milkman and his daughters with historical background. It always makes me laugh so much, especially Tevye's cogitations and his talks with God. And I can't forget his dream about marriage of his eldest daughter, Tzeitel with wealthy butcher, Lazar Wolf. Hilarious.
The actor that played the main character was just amazing with a lot of charisma and very powerful voice. He did a wonderful job on that stage and was awarded with loud and long applause.
The rest of the cast also did a wonderful job. And the dancers, the dance with bottles was just great. They didn't drop any of them ^_^
There is something magical in seeing actors, acting right in front of me. I was sitting in the third row and it felt that If I only reached my hand far enough I could touch them.
I have so much respect and admiration for the theatrical actors. For them, there is no "cut" and repeating the scene. Even if they make a mistake or forget something they have to improvise.
Right now I'm hoping that I won't have to wait another year to go to the theatre again.
And I'm still very much amazed by yesterday's show ^_^
